Shri Mahalakshmi Ashtakam in Sanskrit
Mahalakshmi
Mahalakshmi or Lakshmi is the Supreme Goddess of Wealth. She is the consort of Vishnu, the Supreme Protector and Sustainer, and is revered as the Divine Mother, who provides for and preserves the Universe and its beings. According to legends, she emerged in all her resplendent glory from the great ocean of milk when it was churned by the celestials and the demons together for obtaining Amrut, the elixir of life.
Sincere prayers can earn Goddess Lakshmi’s grace and can grant devotees immense material and spiritual wealth. Her blessings can also shower auspiciousness, good luck, fortune, beauty, affluence, sovereignty, fertility, prosperity, and abundance in the lives of the devotees.
