Astrology
Our ancients, through their meticulous observance of the placement and movements of the heavenly bodies like the planets continuously over long periods and linking them to the happenings on earth and to people's lives, realized that these celestial entities wielded considerable influence on lives on our planet. They also understood that by studying these planets, they can predict future events. This study contributed to the birth and development of the ancient predictive system of Astrology or Vedic Astrology.
This astrological system operates on the premise that the positioning of the various planets in the sky at the time of birth of an individual strongly impacts his or her life, and analyzing these placements can help predict a person's characteristics, fortunes, and future. Hence, these planetary placements at birth time are plotted in a chart spread across the 12 zodiac signs, known as the birth chart or natal chart, also called the horoscope or Janam Kundali. It remains unique for an individual and is analyzed for foreseeing a person's life and making predictions for the days to come.
Prashna Astrology, or Prashna Kundali, remains a significant branch of astrology.
Prashna Astrology, Kundali and Predictions
'Prashna' is a question. While astrology, in general, is the study of planets at the time of birth, Prshana Astrology plots the planets as they exist when a person raises a question, studies those planetary positions, and gives answers and predictions accordingly. Thus, this question-based predictive system of analyzing the planets at the time of questioning, as against the birth-based system, is referred to as 'Prashna Astrology,' and these forecasts become 'Prashna Predictions.'
When a person poses a question, the astrologer casts a chart immediately, plotting the planets as they are at that very moment. And this chart, in the same format as the birth chart, becomes the 'Prashna Kundali,' the horoscope of the time the question is raised or, simply, the Kundali of that particular question.
Moreover, 'Horary' refers to the hour, a unit of time; as this astrological system operates and makes forecasts based on any specific moment or hour, Prashna Astrology also goes by the name 'Horary Astrology.'
Prashna Predictions- Salient Features
Prashna Astrology can give accurate answers to the questions a person has, even without the birth chart, and this feature makes it quite popular.
A birth chart is a map whose analysis can reveal what life has in store for that individual, generally at a macro level; thus it can give a broad picture of life. On the other hand, Prashna Kundali can be much more specific, like a close-up picture, which may examine a question and the aspects it represents more closely and in much greater detail and provide precise answers and clarifications to the satisfaction of the individual. That is why many believe that Prashna predictions can be more accurate and potent than birth chart predictions and can provide sound guidance on the actions they need to take for their own good.
Prashna Kundali becomes particularly valuable when people do not know their date or time of birth; hence, people cannot cast a birth chart for that individual. And that could remain a big handicap in making predictions for the future. But, as Prashna Astrology is not based on the birth time, it doesn't have this issue at all. The person in question can raise his queries and seek clarifications for his doubts at any time, and the astrologer can cast the Prashna Kundali for that time, analyze the positions of the planets, and provide answers or clarifications for his knowledge, guidance, or further action. It is also said that seasoned, expert astrologers can even know the question a person is going to ask, based on the time that individual approached him and the Prashna Kundali cast accordingly.
Prashna Predictions' Accuracy
But the precision of Prashna Astrology predictions depends as much on the correct casting of Kundali and its reading as on the individual seeking answers. The subject or issue should be embedded deep inside the person, and he should have a strong will and a potent drive to seek replies to his questions with all his heart. That can bestow tremendous weightage to the predictions and ensure that they are accurate and to the entire satisfaction of the person. It is also said that when raised for the first time, the questions may carry powerful vibrations and have good chances of eliciting precise answers and accurate predictions.
We also see that Prashna is more for answers to specific queries than for predictions, generic in nature.
Thus, Prashna astrological predictions can definitely be accurate, provided there is a strong and honest intention on the part of the seeker and proficiency on the part of the practitioner of the system
