Can Prashna Chart Predictions be Wrong in Real Life?

'Yes, they can be wrong' could be the simple answer to this pointed question.

But the issue involved may be more complex than it appears. Also, this response need not be confined only to the Prashna Chart Predictions but can be extended to any astrological forecasts.

But before we proceed to examine this question in more detail, we need to know some fundamental aspects of Prashna Astrology, its chart, and predictions.   

Prashna Astrology

Astrology is an ancient, predictive science involving the study of the celestial bodies, principally the planets. Our ancients had evolved this system after observing the positioning and movements of these heavenly entities, linking them to the events occurring on earth and the lives of the people here, understanding that there is a strong connection between these 2 happenings in the sky and on the ground, realizing that the planets do influence human lives and that their study can provide invaluable details about ourselves, our lives and future. Thus, they gradually evolved Astrology or Vedic Astrology, a robust and reliable system that studies the positioning and movement of planets and makes forecasts about people and their future.

Astrology, in general, operates based on a chart, in which the planets, as they are found at the time of birth of a person, are plotted in a specific format across the 12 astrological Houses corresponding to the 12 zodiac signs. It is only through the analysis of this chart, known as the Natal Chart, Birth Chart, or Horoscope, which reflects the planetary placements at birth of an individual, that they make astrological predictions for that person for the life ahead.          

However, Prashna Astrology operates differently. 'Prashna' is the question. When a person has a query and approaches an astrologer seeking an answer, the astrologer sees the time the query has come to him, plots the placement of planets at that moment in the chart, studies it, and finds the answer to that query. Thus, Prashna astrology is not the study of planets at the time of birth but the analysis of the planets as they are found at the time of posing the question. The planetary chart of the query time is the Prashna Chart, and answers found and the predictions made based on it, become the Prashna predictions.      

Birth Chart and Prashna Chart Predictions- A Comparison        

As we have seen, the Birth Chart plots the planets at the birth time of the people and can provide particulars about the personality and characteristic features of that individual and make predictions, with timelines, about what life has in store for them in the future. On the other hand, the Prashna Chart plots the planets as they are when a query is raised, studies them, gives as the answer whatever the planetary placements reveal, provides clarifications, and makes predictions on aspects related to it.       

Thus, the birth chart reading can reveal all the significant events and developments in life, whereas the Prashna Chart prediction could provide a reply to a specific query, a solution for a relatively minor problem, or guidance to make a not-so-significant decision.     

Can Prashna Chart Predictions Go Wrong in Real Life?

Now, we return to the fundamental question of this blog and reiterate the same answer: ' Yes, they can!'

Astrologers are human, after all, who note the time a 'Prashna,' the question is raised, identify the positions of the planets at that moment, plot them in a chart, analyze that Prashna Chart, and share with you what they feel the chart foretells, as their predictions. Even if some error creeps up anywhere in this process, the ultimate predictions need not be correct and can indeed go haywire!   

The learned also believe that astrological predictions, whether based on birth chart or Prashna chart, only reveal the probabilities or possibilities in various degrees, but there are perhaps more powerful aspects like the person's resolve, Karma, and the Divine will, which can overturn these forecasts and present something very different in real life.
